**applause** real country music!
Barbarosa looks interesting! The reach of these men in pop culture is just amazing– though Kris made the most out of a movie career, Willie to a lesser extent, Cash also with a show and becoming the subject of a movie, and Waylon had his pop culture moment with a huge tv theme hit! AND all 4 performed with the Muppets 🙂 great live take!
It was fun to do, hope no one gets scared off with the song at the end! I enjoy doing them. Even Gilbert Roland turns up in Barbarosa! I forgot to mention Heaven’s Gate for Kris but maybe it’s just as well. Thanks for the kind remarks.
Bravo, Mike! Kristofferson, especially, has appeared in quite a few films I love. Thanks for reminding me that I still have to check out some of those titles with Nelson.
Thanks and Kris had some good titles for sure. Have you ever seen him in Flashpoint? Neat idea that loses it’s way but worth checking out.
I’ve never seen Flashpoint. It sounds and looks worthwhile. Thanks for the tip!
Electric Horseman, The movie that put me in love for Jane Fonda!
What a brilliant review. You are very natural and so well versed and filled with knowledge. THEN you only go and sing us out! Mike you are a superstar. Very talented. Hey it’s all in one take at Mikes take on the movies. Absolutely brilliant buddy.
Thanks buddy. Gave me a chance to mix movies with some music. Dad was a picker so we spent most summers at music fests. I played in a few bands over the years and still like to play and sing when the chance comes up.
I went to a movie site, and a country song broke out! Very cool, Mike…I had no idea you could review movies AND sing! And trust me, even with just a cameraman in front of me (or just a tripod), I still couldn’t pull that off. Nice work…and yes, I stayed ’til the end!
LOL, thanks. Don’t think too many people have sat thru that one as it was early in my blogging career and maybe that’s for the best.
