In the Great Escape he planned it.
He organized it.
He made the decisions.
He went through it.
He fought to the end.
In doing so Richard Attenborough gave the cinema one the great films of the sixties and one of it’s best on heroism and making the ultimate sacrifice for one’s beliefs.
Rest in Peace.
