It isn’t easy to narrow the field of titles playing at the TCM festival but one title that’s playing is the final film of Noir favorite John Garfield. 1951’s He Ran All The Way. It’ll be tough to pass this one up.

When given a chance to suggest an actor worth discovering to an acquaintance or co-worker, John is one I usually suggest they look for on TCM or home video. For those of you stopping in here I would urge you to do the same if you already haven’t.

If you love Bogie and Cagney then Garfield will fit right in.

Noir can only get better when John meets Marie Windsor. “I didn’t have enough strength to resist corruption, but I was strong enough to fight for a piece of it. ”

The final film at only 39 years of age leaves a big “what if” for cinema history in the years ahead.
