I have seen all of the films you mentioned except St. Ives, I’m going to have to catch up with that one. From Noon to Three is a very interesting film because it is almost a farce and it is supposed to be light hearted. Breakout is not a comedy but Bronson does play it as a comedic part and I thought he was great. He missed the chance to do those self parody type roles by just being a little ahead of the curve. I really like the comparison to DeNiro, because I can see Charlie doing a Death Wish like Paul Kersey in a comedy like Midnight Run. I’ve added your blog to my follow list, you look like you have a lot of the same film obsessions I suffer from. You came to Thirty Years On, but I have another site that I post movie material on that you might be interested in. Here is a link to a Review of Mr. Majestyk. I hope you can come by and look around a little.

St. Ives is a lot of fun and a great cast. Worth the time. It really would have been nice to see Charlie do some kind of parody. I had heard that he was offered the Palance role in City Slickers but turned it down. Not sure if it’s fact or not. Thanks for watching. I’ll head over to the Majestyk article.
