Not sure about you but when I went looking around the local bookstores at an impressionable age, seeing a paperback novel release with an actor’s mug on the cover lent a certain amount of respectability to what must have been on the written pages within. That’s not to say I read many of them in the end but as a movie crazed kid, it was pretty cool to pick up a book or two from yard sales that had an image of a favorite actor or two.
So after digging around the vault here I finally found a box of these “treasures” I amassed years ago and a couple of recent pics from a local memorabilia collector fest I attended.
Doesn’t that look like Tony Quinn? It should as he played the lead role in the film adaptation and of course you’ve heard of that guy playing Cahill I’m sure.

Back in ’68 you might have found these paperbacks on the shelf as part of the Hollywood advertising machine.
One was filmed in Canada and the other is practically a must see if you’re to be issued a Canadian Passport.
In keeping with my collecting all things Bronson back in the day, these we’re obvious additions to the collection.
