How ironic is it that two of the greatest names in horror cinema share the same birthday of May 27th. Creepier still is the fact that another of their associates celebrates his the day before on the 26th. Peter Cushing is first up on the 26th. This gentle man of horror was born in 1913.
The following day we have birthdays for the always delicious Vincent Price who was born May 27th 1911. Fast forward eleven years to the day and the last surviving legend of classic horror cinema was born. The screen’s greatest of all Draculas Christopher Lee.
So in honor of these gentlemen who fueled my imagination growing up and kept me keeping one eye on the closet in my bedroom when Mom turned out the lights I think I’ll post a couple films to celebrate them on the 26th and 27th. Hope you’ll drop by and see my choices.
